Dear Parents and Carers,

We are excited to share a heart-warming opportunity for our students to spread joy and kindness this holiday season.

Alperton Community School is participating in a project to create paper hearts with heartfelt messages for the elderly in care homes. These small gestures of goodwill can truly brighten someone’s day, especially during this time of year. Please take a moment to check that your child has completed their paper heart with a beautiful message.

Additionally, we are partnering with the Rotary Shoebox Appeal to gather donations for those in need. Your contributions can make a significant difference in someone’s life. We kindly ask for donations and any items you can spare for the shoebox appeal. Every little contribution counts. Please click here for a list of items that can be donated. Students who bring in donations will assemble and decorate their shoe box in school. Shoeboxes will be provided.

To cover the costs of sending these boxes, we are requesting a £3 donation, but only if you are able to. This will ensure that these gifts reach those who need them most. Donations and items for the shoebox need to be in by Tuesday 19th December to facilitate the process, and completed paper hearts should be brought in by Thursday 21st December. These will then be sent to care homes in the local community.

Please do check your child’s Google Classroom for more information.

Your support and generosity will go a long way in making this initiative a success and spreading joy during this festive season. Thank you for being a part of this wonderful cause and for nurturing kindness in our students.

Yours faithfully,

Mrs Ryan
