Thanks to the charity Artists in Residents and The Lindon Gallery, on Wednesday 17 November staff and students of Alperton Community School had the rare opportunity to experience first hand the artwork ‘Sydney‘ of the celebrated artist Sam Gilliam.
On Wednesday, 9th November, 2021, Alperton Community School invited a number of local businesses to have ‘breakfast’ at our Ealing Road school and to network and discuss various career opportunities with our students, reach out to the local community and continue to build sustainable relationships with local employers. Before the half term break, Alperton students have been auditioning for a part in our Winter Drama Production of ‘A Christmas Carol’. We are pleased to announce that we have a wonderful group of over 40 talented and dedicated students who have begun their rehearsals this week. (more…)
The Y10 Music group attended their first Music studio session last week with Anji Turner, Clerk to school Governors. The group took up roles as producers, engineers and recording artists. (more…)
During the week commencing on 1 November, ACS will be running a range of activities to engage students with COP 26, the UN conference on climate change in Glasgow. ACS wishes to raise awareness of environmental issues, the climate change crisis and the emergency to switch to more sustainable forms of transports to reduce carbon emissions. (more…)
On Wednesday a group of Year 9 students went to The Kiln Theatre to watch NW Trilogy as part of the delayed Brent 2020: London Borough of Culture programme. The students were incredible and we had many audience members commenting on how wonderful and respectful our students are. Congratulations to all our students on an excellent set of GCSE and A Level results. In spite of the coronavirus pandemic, our students have demonstrated incredible resilience and determination that enabled them to work with teachers online during lockdown, catch-up at school and complete all their assessments in order to succeed and achieve the results they deserve.
