Last week (4th – 8th March) was National Careers Week and here at Alperton Community  School we ran a number of events and activities in order to support this event. On Monday  during form time, students explored the importance of Labour Market Information when making decisions about career choices. Comparing careers against one another and against the national average enabled students to easily see if a certain vocation is in growth or decline.

Activities continued during form time throughout the week where all students designed a careers information app targeted to year 6 students. Talks were also held throughout the week, from a quantity surveyor, the university of Essex and Quintain and a building contractor working on Wembley Park site. Many thanks to all students and staff for their effective participation which ensured all events were a success.
