Congratulations to our Youth Travel Ambassadors (YTA) for last week’s Campaign Junction pitch. The judges were amazed by the quality of our students’ presentation and their confident public speaking. They were able to answer some complex questions from the panel on the spot and demonstrated an advanced level of knowledge and engagement in these travel issues and their campaign really stood out. We look forward to seeing how their campaigns develop.

The (YTA) programme provides young people aged 11 to 19 with the skills and confidence to address transport issues affecting their school community. With support from TfL, the local borough and school staff, YTA teams research and develop behaviour change campaigns, focusing on Active Travel, Road Safety and improving the passenger experience, supporting the Mayor’s Transport Strategy for London.

Campaign Junction, a Dragons Den style event, is the first project of the Youth Travel Ambassadors (YTA) programme and offers students the opportunity to pitch their proposals to an expert panel and receiving professional feedback and funding to get their projects off the ground.
