This week our Year 7V students visited the remarkable Shri Sanatan Hindu Temple, situated in the vicinity of our school, as part of their Religious Studies lessons.

During the visit they walked respectfully around the temple identifying key features, including the deities, the donations of food and flowers and the large mirror that reflects the carvings in the dome so beautifully.

The temple has a major cultural importance and was build based on the ancient Hindu Scripture – Shilpa Shastras – with highly elaborate and intricate hand carved patterns.

Our students behaved exemplary during the entire visit and really enjoyed the experience.

Many thanks to all staff organising this event for our students.
