Why join ACS?

Alperton Community School is  an inclusive, comprehensive school with a student intake that reflects a wonderfully diverse and vibrant local community. We are a large, mixed, 11-18 academy with over 300 students in our sixth form.

Our students have a passion for learning and are truly welcoming and respectful. Learning takes place in a culture of mutual respect, where our caring, expert staff delivers high quality teaching and learning to help students achieve their ambitions.

Our school has become internationally recognised following the success of our Art and Textiles teacher Andria Zafirakou who won the $1million Global Teacher Prize 2018.  The school has been shortlisted for the TES School of the Year 2018 and won the TES Maths Team of the Year 2017.  We are one of only four schools in the country to hold the Platinum Professional Development Mark and one of only 100 schools to hold the Inclusion Quality Mark Centre of Excellence.

The school achieved excellent GCSE results in 2019. The percentage of students achieving five GCSEs at Grades 4+(A*-C) including English and maths has increased by 24% over the last four years and now stands at 66%. Since 2016 Alperton Community School has been ranked in the first quintile (highest category) in all areas e.g. most able students, lower attaining students, pupil premium. As a result, the school has been graded “above average” and “well above average” in the DfE Performance Tables for the last three years. Our students perform extremely well in our sixth form. ACS students have been awarded 90 A* and A grades, with over 50% of the examinations being awarded A*, A or B grades. We currently have six students studying at Oxbridge with many more attending Russell Group universities.

Our most recent Ofsted rating in July 2016 recognised the school as Good with Outstanding Leadership and Management.

We are very fortunate to have opened our new school building in the summer term. The new building has purpose-built specialist Drama, Music, Art and DT facilities, as well as 14 Science laboratories, 10 ICT rooms and a new MUGA.

We are extremely proud of our school and if you wish to join our team, we would love to hear from you.
