On Monday, 6 July 2026, the Year 12 students went on a trip to the HMS Belfast Ship-Museum. Please see below some of the feedback we received from the students about their experience.
The trip was very fun, it was very interesting seeing different parts of the HMS Belfast. We got to see how the crew lived and how they managed the ship. The audio descriptions were also very realistic and entertaining.(Y12 student)
The trip was really great and had a lot of fun and being on the HMS Belfast, it really helped visualise the experience of a royal navy soldier during voyages. Overall, a really fun trip! (Y12 student)
The Ship was really fun to explore and it was really interesting to witness how people at sea had to live during the war and the many different facilities in the ship. It was nice to go out with the class and I think we all had a really fun time. (Y12 student)
I really enjoyed visiting HMS Belfast with my class. It was a great experience exploring the different parts of the ship and learning what life was like for the sailors who served on board. Visiting HMS Belfast was a fascinating and fun experience. Finding more about the interior and the built of warships used for WW2 Battles was very engaging. It was also interesting to learn about the work and lifestyle of sailors during wartime through the recordings and exhibitions. It was a really memorable trip and gave me an opportunity to experience history up close. (Y12 student)
