Over the past two weeks our school welcomed guests from the Kings College London who came to deliver two very engaging masterclasses to our Y11 and Y12 students as part of the Women in Engineering programme.
The first workshop on Monday 2 February was delivered to our Year 11 students and covered topics such as CAD and 3D modelling and a talk about how STEM powers industries such as Fashion, Sports, Music and more.
On Monday 9 February, our guest delivered their second workshop Intro to Robotics: Arduino Basics to our Year 12 students. This was followed by a talk about different STEM pathways and careers in science and technology.
The students were very engaged during the workshops and found the activities very informative and useful.
“Thank you, the masterclass was really informative” (Yr12 student)
“The event was great and we all had a lot of fun. We all enjoyed it a lot and overall it was very useful” (Yr11 student)
