Last Thursday, our Eco students attended their first of six eco workshops part of the Urban Oasis Project, an inspiring new community-led initiative in Alperton and Harlesden.
Garden designer Juliette Lee and her team Tara Hanif and Linda Mngwali visited the school and gave students the opportunity to learn about Juliette’s amazing gardening career and the importance of growing your own food.
Juliette and her team showed students how to sow seeds in small pots ready to grow into their favourite herbs of chives, spinach and rocket. The students took the pots home and will document their growth. More workshops are to follow with this exciting community-led project.
