Year 13 Alperton Community School students are celebrating another excellent set of exam results this summer. 59% of A level examinations were awarded the top A*–B grades and a record 89% of grades on our Applied programmes were at Distinction* or Distinction, with the number of Distinction* grades rising from 31 to 45, our best vocational results ever.

Across all qualifications students achieved a 100% pass rate in every subject we offer for the second year running. 81% of our students achieved A*–C or equivalent across all their subjects, and eight students achieved A* grades in every subject studied. Our students should be very proud of their achievements.
We are particularly pleased with the strong performances across a wide range of subjects, including Sociology (92% A*–B), Physics (62% A*–A, 88% A*–B), Further Maths (78% A*–B), Politics (73% A*–B), Maths (71% A*–B), Psychology (71% A*–B), History (70% A*–B), BTEC ICT (Double Award) (100% Dist*–Dist), BTEC ICT (Single Award) (100% Dist*–Dist), BTEC Business (97% Dist*–Merit) and Health and Social Care (100% Dist*–Merit).

As a result, over half of our placed students are heading to prestigious Russell Group universities including Cambridge, Imperial College London, the London School of Economics, UCL, King’s College London, Warwick, Bristol, Exeter, Southampton and Queen Mary University of London, to read a wide range of subjects including Medicine, Dentistry, Engineering, Chemistry, Law, Mathematics, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, Biomedical Science, Economics, Midwifery, Nursing, English and Fine Art. The range of courses exemplifies not only the breadth of our curriculum, but the wide range of student interests and ambitions at Alperton Community School.

Special congratulations go to Kunal Mukesh, who achieved an outstanding A*A*A*A*, and to Lathushan Mathanrajh and Najiha Shaikh, who each achieved A*A*A* plus a further A* in their EPQ. Congratulations also to Dhriti Dipak, Umair Kapadia, Uzair Kapadia, Vikesh Mahendra and Somavarshan Sathiyakumar, who each achieved A*A*A*.

We were also especially pleased to hear that an increasing number of our Year 13 students were accepted onto prestigious apprenticeships programmes with employers such as KPMG, Deloitte, IBM, PWC, Amazon and Network Rail.

The students all commented on how happy they were with their results and how excited they are to be starting their degree or degree apprenticeships. Many took the opportunity to thank their teachers for their support over the last 7 years.

Christopher Dixon, Headteacher, said: “These results reflect the hard work and commitment of our students and staff. We are tremendously proud of the successes of our students in their academic results, and we are excited for the very bright futures they are set to have. Well done to everyone involved in achieving these remarkable outcomes.“
