Our trip to Valencia this year was absolutely fantastic. Our students had a lot of fun and they really enjoyed the Spanish culture and weather.
Alperton Community School gained the first level of the Investor in Careers award in May 2017. We are committed to achieving the second level of the award in the next academic year with the support of the Brent & Barnet Careers Cluster.
This month, Leica Gallery Mayfair is hosting the Kintsugi Photography and Art Installation exhibition by Koo Stark, from 5 to 26 May 2017. The exhibition is a collection of Koo Stark’s photographs capturing moments of the artist’s fascinating life over the last three decades.
On Wednesday, 26th April, three scientists from the Imperial College London delivered a fantastic hands-on workshop to our A-Level Chemistry students, entitled “Spectroscopy in a suitcase”. The workshop explored some of the most common analytical techniques used in the industry and scientific research.
Alperton Community School has been awarded the PiXL Membership Certificate for the academic year 2016-2017. Please see below a copy of the certificate.
Throughout the Spring Term and following the theme of ‘Respect’, the 6th form took part in the First Give programme. This involved the students identifying social issues in their area and engaging with local charities that address them.
This term our school donated 75 boxes of textbooks to schools in the rural areas of Ghana. Many thanks to our sponsor SAL Consult Limited, a multidisciplinary water and environmental consultancy company based in Accra, Ghana, who supported this action and covered all the delivery costs.
Pi Day was a great success this year – it was an amazing team effort with all the staff and students really enjoying themselves. We’ve had some amazing recites of the Pi digits. The following students came out on top:
Alperton Community School officially opened Phase 1 of its new school in Ealing Road on Monday 20th February and Parvez Ahmed, Mayor of Brent and Barry Gardiner, MP were guests of honour at the ceremony.
