On Thursday 24 January, our Art & Design student Prakruti Pindolia took part in a talk organised by Adobe UK about the role of creativity in education.

The talk took place at the Bett Education Show 2019 and was hosted by Mala Sharma, Vice President and General Manager of Adobe Creative Cloud.  The other two guests present were Sir Anthony Seldon, Vice-Chancellor at the University of Buckingham and Jacqui O’Hanlon, Director of Education at the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Prakruti was invited to discuss her own experience studying creative arts. Alongside Art & Design, Prakruti is also studying Maths, Further Maths and Economics at A Level and she explained how the arts helped her develop valuable transferable skills, such as problem solving: ‘Through the arts I’ve developed skills that I will be able to use in any job that I do’, Prakruti said.

Earlier this year she also had the honour to present her artwork to HRH Prince Charles at Royal Albert Hall, together with her teacher Andria Zafirakou.
