We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our Sixth Form students in two of the UK’s most prestigious chemistry competitions: the 57th Annual UK Chemistry Olympiad and the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge.
Success in the Chemistry Olympiad 2025
In the UK Chemistry Olympiad, organised by the Royal Society of Chemistry to challenge and inspire future scientists, our students achieved remarkable results:
- Tomasz Ros earned a Silver Certificate, placing him among the top chemistry students nationally.
- Csaba Gyuricza and Bhavya Bhanushali were awarded Bronze Certificates, recognising their impressive problem-solving skills and dedication.
Cambridge Chemistry Challenge Highlights
Our students also excelled in the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge, which pushes AS-level chemists to apply their knowledge to complex, unfamiliar problems. We are proud to announce:
- Dhriti Dipak, Kunal Mukesh, and Najiha Shaikh each received a Silver Certificate, reflecting their outstanding analytical abilities.
- Somavarshan Sathiya Kumar achieved a Bronze Certificate, showcasing his strong understanding of advanced chemistry concepts.
These accomplishments reflect the hard work, curiosity, and resilience of our students, supported by our dedicated Chemistry Department. We congratulate Tomasz, Csaba, Bhavya, Dhriti, Kunal, Najiha, Somavarshan, and all who took part. They are excellent ambassadors of Alperton Community School’s commitment to academic excellence.
