On Tuesday 16th January, Alperton took part in the prestigiousĀ Jack Petchey’s Speak Out Challenge competition. Our participant students, Shanti Smith, Zadeia Matthews and Alisha Boadi made us all proud when they delivered their powerful speeches to a large audience including staff, students and their families, the Mayor of Brent and eight eminent judges. On Wednesday 13th December twenty Alperton students from year 7 and 8 were lucky enough to attend a private screening of the Dr Who episode āTwice Upon A Timeā which premiered on Christmas Day. Not only did the event allow the students to watch the episode before release, but they were also able to attend a press conference style Q&A with the writer of the show, Steven Moffat. (more…)
