Nine students in Year 13 were invited to Jesus College, Cambridge on the 18th September 2017.

The students received guidance on the admissions process and were given personalised feedback on their personal statements in one-on-one meetings with student ambassadors and the Cambridge Outreach Team.

Over the course of the two day residential, Alperton Sixth Formers were able to experience parts of Cambridge campus life, which included tours of the University grounds and surrounding area, as well as speak with admissions tutors about the interview process, gaining useful advice on what to expect.

“It was a very enjoyable and very useful experience. Not only were we given support and guidance in our personal statements, but we were also given an insight to the admission process alongside interview tips. (Monica, SF1)

“The Cambridge residential allowed us to learn key skills that we could develop when applying not just to Oxbridge, but also to other universities. Cambridge student ambassadors were always ready to answer any questions we had, and overall it was a very informative experience.” (Kishen, SF3)
