A big warm welcome to House Austen! My name is Ms. Anane and I am lucky enough to be the head of this fantastic House.
As well as being the Head of House Austen, I am also the Computing and ICT teacher and can always be found around the ICT Department. In our House, we work to achieve the best that we can through our core values of respect, excellence, friendship, inspiration, determination and courage. Our motto is “pride, not prejudice”, and we will work together to try and ensure that we compete with honour and dignity in any activity that we take part in.
This is a House which is absolutely committed to the holistic development of students in our care. House Austen students have the unique opportunity of taking part in the House Austen enrichment programme, which is led by my superb team of House Austen tutors. The enrichment programme offers our students the chance to learn Latin, engage in philosophical enquiry, pottery, and much more. I would encourage any Austen student to take part in as many aspects of school life as possible and extend that invitation to parents and carers also. The events and activities are great fun and a superb part of school life to become involved in.
Everybody coming to Alperton Community School should be happy when they are here. Therefore, if there is ever anything that I can do to help you along the way, please feel free to contact me at any time via the school phone number or the e-mail address below. I look forward to seeing you throughout the year.
Once again, welcome to House Austen.
Marhaba, Namste, Bienvenue, Vanakkam, Soo Dhaweyn, and Welcome to House Einstein. I, Mr Sattar, am very pleased to be the head of a house who values success and wishes to be the best at whatever is thrown at them. I believe that the house motto: “The Future Starts Here”, can only be realised through sheer determination to succeed and active participation by all the students in the house.
So far, I am pleased to say that we have been successful in winning (or coming second in some occasions) many of the competitions that has been organised. Furthermore, I am always delighted whenever I land on the school’s homepage and see that house Einstein is always at the top of the leader board of the house points. Keep up the hard work!
I have no doubt in my mind that through the many talented individuals in the house, we will give the other houses a run for their money and beat off any competition without breaking a sweat.
A warm welcome to House Gandhi. In our House, we work to achieve the best that we can through team work, encouragement and enjoyment. Our house motto is “Be the Change…” and we will be working together to try and make positive changes within ourselves and our community.
As Head of House Gandhi, I will do all I can to make sure students are happy in school and have all they need to achieve their true potential while they are with us. Our standards are high and all Gandhi students are expected to look their best, try their hardest and treat others with respect.
Throughout the year, there are many opportunities to take part in various Inter and Intra-House events including competitions and charitable activities. We encourage active participation in all events, which are great fun and a superb part of school life to become involved in.
Hope the new academic year brings us much success and happiness.
Welcome to House King. Named after Martin Luther King, we aim to succeed through ‘Dreaming Big, Believing in Ourselves and Striving to Achieve’. My name is Mr Rayleigh and I feel proud as well as lucky, to be the Head of a House that is made up of talented and keen students led by a dedicated team of teachers.
We have already secured a successful start, winning both First and Second place in the opening house competitions. This success was bought about by the sheer, commitment, enthusiasm and teamwork of all King students and teachers. This means that the first ever Alperton Inter-House competition trophy has begun its journey with the name King emblazoned across it and we aim to ensure it stays that way!
I am confident that, through the diverse range of challenges & events planned for the coming year, there will be plenty of opportunities where the members of House King will continue to show off their many talents. Throughout this year every student will have the opportunity to contribute and I cannot wait to see the supporting banners, hear the encouraging cheers and hand out praises to every member for their individual involvement in our success.
In Martin Luther King’s own words “If you can’t fly, then run, if you can’t run, then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl but whatever you do keep moving forward”...remember every little, no matter how little, still counts as long as it is taking US in the right direction!
