Why choose Alperton Community School?
![]() |
ASPIRE, COMMIT, SUCCEED are words that we live every day in all that we do.
We are a school that is at the heart of our community and is committed to providing all of our students with an exciting and challenging education where achievement and enjoyment are at the heart of everything that we do. We are a co-operative academy and work closely with our partner schools. We have very strong relationships with our primary schools, working closely to ensure students make smooth transition to secondary school. We have, what we believe, to be a unique partnership that offers opportunities for teachers to work with Woodfield School and receive valuable experience in the special education sector. We have just opened a brand new facility at our Ealing Road site to integrate Woodfield students into the Alperton Community – offering both specialist teaching as well as being taught in mixed teaching groups. |
School Experience Programme Feedback
Firstly, thank you very much for having me at your school. I really enjoyed my experience at the school.I thought the teachers were very professional and managed their respective classes extremely well. More surprisingly, the students were well behaved and got on with their work, despite having externals in the classroom. This wasn’t the case in another school I visited.
As you’re aware, to do a PGCE/Further Education within the teaching sector, a minimum of 10 days work experience is required. Would it be possible to arrange a few more days of work experience?

Firstly I would like to thank you and the other teachers for the time that you spent with me on the school experience day. I enjoyed the day immensely and any doubts that I had about teaching in secondary were put to rest. All the children I spoke to were polite and respectful. I found the time spent in classroom extremely insightful and the overall atmosphere of the school was engaging and warm.I would really like to gain more school experience and would really like the opportunity to do this at Alperton Community School.

I visited Alperton Community School today for the SEP. I had a wonderful experience today during the program. All the staff members were very friendly and helpful. They helped me with all my queries. I have gathered so much information on teaching career during the visit. I believe if I get the opportunity to visit the school few more days, it will enhance my knowledge on teaching more.
I will be very grateful if you allow me to visit the school further and help me to improve my teaching knowledge.

Thank you for the school experience which I attended on Tuesday 4th March. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it has definitely increased my desire in wanting to become a teacher. I am wondering if I can get some more experience days from the school as this would support my application.
