Congratulations to the Class of 2018 on our best ever A Level results

Alperton Community School students have again exceeded all expectations with a tremendous set of A Level results.  With some results yet to come in, ACS students have been awarded 81 A* and A grades, with almost 50% of the examinations being awarded A*, A or B grades. As a result more than 40% of the A level cohort has been accepted onto top degree courses at prestigious Russell Group universities.

We are particularly pleased with continued strong performances in Maths and the sciences. Three quarters of students achieved grades A*/ A / B in Chemistry, Maths, Further Maths, Art, Media, ICT and Sociology. We are especially pleased with the exceptional progress students make in Art, Business Studies, ICT, Media and Sociology.

ICT continued to be a very successful and popular subject with 96% of all students achieving the highest grade of Distinction. The 2018 results are a further improvement on last year’s results which showed academic A Level results to be higher than the national results.

Special congratulations go to Ajay Patel who achieved A*A*A* and will read Economics at Warwick University and Jeetendra Joshi who achieved A*AAA and will read Engineering at Imperial College. Ajay and his two older sisters attended Alperton Community School and all three have had outstanding A level results and gone onto world class Universities. Ajay said “I am really happy with my results and can’t wait to start my studies at Warwick.” Jeetendra said “I have really enjoyed studying at Alperton Community School. I really appreciate all the support I have had from my teachers.” Twelve students achieved straight A/A* in all of their A levels which is an outstanding achievement.

Congratulations to seven students who have been accepted to study Medicine and one student who will will study Dentistry. Hetvi who has won a place to read Medicine at UCL said “Thank you to all of my teachers for supporting me and believing in me.”
