Let me introduce myself to you and let you know more about my vision for Alperton Community School. My first priority as leader of the school is to ensure that the students achieve all that they can every day and leave the school with the best possible results. I enjoy working in partnership with parents to motivate the students and to celebrate their many talents.

I strive to ensure that Alperton is

The school motto reflects this:

'Raising Achievement by Learning Together and Caring for Each Other' these are words that we live every day in all that we do.

At Alperton, we recognise the need to prepare the students to be global citizens equipped for life in the 21st Century. The personal development, both moral and spiritual, required to meet this challenge is a task shared by parents and teachers. I believe this aspect of young people's learning, taking responsibility and participating in their community, is as important as the preparation for examinations.

A key skill for life in the 21st century is confidence and expertise in the use of new technologies. ICT is part of the every day experience of every student in the school. It is used in every subject and in all aspects of school life to enhance students' learning. Alperton is designated as a Specialist School for Mathematics and Computing. This means that we are the centre of excellence for Brent in Mathematics and ICT. The school is also a member of the West London Chamber of Commerce and involves local business in the curriculum.

Students leave Alperton with an enthusiasm for learning and recognising that it is a lifelong process. The academic achievement is evident from the number of students entering university education including the prestigious Oxford and Cambridge Universities and medical schools. Students of all backgrounds and abilities learn together in harmony and fulfil their potential because we are determined to provide equal opportunities and achievement for all.
