At ACS the 'Vocational' Department is comprised of 'Economics', 'Business Studies', 'Health & Social Care', 'Skills for Working Life' and 'Travel &
Tourism'.
Economics

The study of Economics takes place in the Vocational Department and is offered at post-16. It can lead to careers in teaching, journalism, accountancy, business finance, research, environmental audit and many others are available.
Business Studies

Business Studies is offered at both Key Stage 4 and at post-16 by the Vocational Department. With a Business Studies GCSE, students can progress to Level 2 and Level 3 National or A Level in Business at post-16.
Health and Social Care

Health and Social Care is offered by the Vocational Department at post-16 and provides an ideal pathway for careers including running your own business, nursing, child care, social work, care of the elderly and working in the mental health sector.
Skills for Working Life

Skills for Working Life is an Enterprise and Work Related Learning option for Year 10 and 11 students and is offered by the Vocational Department at KS4.
Travel & Tourism

At post-16. the Vocational Department offers both Leisure and Tourism , a one-year course which can be taken at Level1 (equivalent to 4 GCSEs at grades D to G) or Level 2 (equivalent to 4 GCSEs at grades A* to C).
