MFL

Like the DfES, we too "...want to encourage more people than ever before to learn a language and develop an interest in other nations' cultures. This is important both for personal development, and the country as a whole."

One of our key aims is to give every pupil at Key Stage 3 the chance to learn at least one foreign language. We believe that this will create the interest and motivation for pupils to continue studying languages through school and beyond.

Gujarati

Studying Gujarati can offer many advantages to students. Most Universities accept Gujarati as a second language for the purposes of entry requirements and research has shown that increased confidence and fluency in mother tongue leads to improvement in other languages and subjects.Through the language students will be able to maintain cultural links with Gujarati communities in the United Kingdom and abroad.
