Departments
Art and Design

The Art & Design Department is based on two sites. For Key Stage 3 there are three art rooms on the Ealing Road site and for Key Stage 4 and post -16, there are a further three art rooms on the Stanley Avenue site.
Citizenship

As a fairly recent initiative, Citizenship is in its early days at Alperton. As teachers we hope that all our students will be useful and thoughtful members of society, regardless of the qualifications they eventually obtain.
Design and Technology

As from 2006 we have been using sustainability as a theme that will run through many of our projects at KS3.We have adopted a mission statement and in Design and Technology we aim to develop problem solving skills to tackle the issue of sustainable development.
Drama

The Drama department aims to involve all students in the exploration and creation of individual ideas. We offer an up-to-date curriculum which ensures progression from KS3 to KS4 and post-16.
English

It is the English Faculty team's aim to provide students with the opportunities to enable them to acquire and understand the richness and diversity of Language and Literature.
Geography

Geography is a subject which studies the whole world. It looks at how physical processes and human activities are changing our environment and at the need for sustainable management and planning for the future.
History

This popular subject is taught at Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and at post-16. The subject is designed to give students a clear understanding of the past, their place in it and the role they have to play in shaping a better future.
ICT

We firmly believe that ICT is of utmost importance to the future of all our students and strive to provide excellent and reliable, modern ICT facilities across the curriculum, with unlimited access for all.
Maths

At Alperton we offer a mathematics curriculum which provides equal opportunities to all our students to achieve their full potential.
Media Studies

The English Faculty are pleased to announce further development of work related learning with the introduction of the Media GCSE.
MFL
Like the DfES, we too "...want to encourage more people than ever before to learn a language and develop an interest in other nations' cultures. This is important both for personal development, and the country as a whole."
Music

Alperton Community School has a strong and vibrant music department led by international composer Andrew Toovey BMus (Hons), MA, MPhil. ably assisted by singer/song-writer Indi Padda BMus (Hons), MA and a strong team of peripatetic teachers.
Physical Education

The Physical Education department has bases on both school sites, with good resources and equipment at both.
RE

Religious Studies is taught to all students at Alperton, and we remain proud of the superb results achieved by our students.
Science

There are 14 dedicated Teaching staff in the Science Faculty who are working very hard to achieve pupil successes at all Key Stages. These Teaching staff are ably supported by 5 Technical staff.
Social Sciences

At ACS the 'Social Sciences' Department is comprised of 'SOCIOLOGY, PSYCHOLOGY, and LAW'.
Vocational

At ACS the 'Vocational' Department is comprised of 'Economics', 'Business Studies', 'Health & Social Care', 'Skills for Working
Life' and 'Travel & Tourism'
