Once again, Alperton Community School has produced an excellent set of results at GCSE.

The results for the most able students were exceptional in the new more demanding GCSEs with 21% of students achieving the highest grades (9-7) in English and 22% of students achieving the highest grades (9-7) in maths.

ACS students achieved 14 Grade 9 results in the new qualifications, putting them into the top 3% of results in the country.  Students achieved 6 Grade 9 results in English and 8 Grade 9 results in maths.  Two students achieved A* Distinction in the extremely challenging Additional Mathematics GCSE.

The progress students have made from their primary school is exceptional.  In the last four years, the school has achieved a 24% increase in the percentage of students achieving A*-C equivalent in English; with progress in maths well above the national average.  The percentage of students achieving good grades in English AND maths has increased from 46% to 60% – an increase of 14% since 2014.

In total the students achieved almost 400 A or A* grades at GCSE.  Science performed particularly well with 30 A* grades with RS students achieving 19 A* grades.

Humza Ahmadi was very pleased with Grades 9 in both English and maths, 8A* and 2A and said “I am so pleased with my results.  It has been hard work and the teachers have helped me so much.  I am one step closer to achieving my aspirations”.

Devak Bakhai was very pleased with Grade 8 in English, 9 in maths and 9A* grades “I have worked hard, but the teachers at Alperton really care about you and help you to get the best results”.

Adbirahman Hassan made exceptional progress since arriving at the school.  He achieved Grade 9 in English, Grade 8 in maths, .4A* grades and 3A grades “I would like to thank my teachers – they have helped me achieve so much since I arrived at Alperton.  I am looking forward to studying for my A Levels in the Sixth Form.
