Alperton Community School students have again exceeded all expectations with a tremendous set of A Level results.

  • 49% students achieved A*-B grades
  • 46 A* grades and 117 A grades
  • Almost 1 in 3 students gained entry to Russell Group Universities – 3 students at Oxbridge
  • 6 students in medicine and 2 students in dentistry
  • 75% A*-B in Maths, 66% A*-B in Chemistry

With some results yet to come in, ACS students have been awarded 60 A* and A grades, with almost half of the examinations being awarded A*, A or B grades. As a result more than a third of the A level cohort has been accepted onto degree courses at prestigious Russell Group universities.

Again Mathematics results were extremely strong with 21 students achieving A* or A grades.Ā  Almost three-quarters of Maths students achieved A*-B grades.Ā  The science results were particularly pleasing with 70% of Chemists and 60% of Biologists achieving top grades.

Congratulations to our Sociology students who achieved the highest value-added results as 90% of Sociology students achieved A*-B grades.Ā  ICT continued to be a very successful and popular subject with a total of 32 distinctions.Ā  The 2017 results are a further improvement on last yearā€™s results which showed academic A Level results to be significantly higher than the national results.

Special congratulations to Omaima Ali, James Simkins and Shahir Ahmadi who will begin undergraduate courses at Oxbridge this autumn.

Congratulations to the five students who have been accepted onto medicine degrees – Najma Ahmed, Muhammad-Ali Shah, Priyal Chokshi, Ajay Nair and Omaima Ali; while two students will begin courses in dentistry – Reema Modasia and Jai Patel.

Students from Alperton Community School are now represented in the following Russell Group universities: London School of Economics, Imperial College, Manchester University, Bristol University, University College London, Kings College London, Queen Mary University London.
